Meet the Doctor

Dr. Alex Edgerly is a 2009 graduate of Orangefield High School and decided to return to Southeast Texas after the completion of his DDS to better serve the community in which he calls home. Dr. Edgerly is a Lamar University Alumni as he received his Bachelor of Science with honors in 2013. He is still very involved with Lamar University at the Alumni level, as he enjoys mentoring the predental society students and currently serves as a member of the LU Alumni Advisory Board. Dr. Edgerly received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2017. Dr. Edgerly is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Southeast Texas Dental Society.Dr. Edgerly looks forward to treating patients of all ages and has experience in many areas of dentistry, such as endodontics, oral surgery, pediatrics, Invisalign, dental fillings, implant restorations, and cosmetic dentistry.

He also enjoys caring for patients with dental anxiety as we create a comfortable atmosphere together with or without the help of laughing gas or additional sedation measures. When Dr. Edgerly isn’t treating patients, he enjoys fishing, duck hunting, and spending time with his wife and their 3 dogs. Dr. Edgerly looks forward to getting to know you and your family as he and Dr. Hackbarth continue to provide you expert dental care with a hometown touch.
